Business Development Manager - Channel Partner

This position has a broad set of responsibilities spanning across all areas of business development for the company. (product integration, sales delivery, marketing development)
  • Evangelize the company's value proposition to new partners with a goal toward increasing the number of hotel subscribed to the company's service.
  • Successfully position company as a direct reservations performance partner to any hotel related industry
  • Identify and define business and partnership opportunities with hotel related industries that impact key metrics and require minimal development resources
  • Gather relevant information and accurately assessing customer concerns and other market trends to provide meaningful inputs to management and actively contribute to the decision making process
  • Create and manage target lists and network of contacts
  • Create and deliver sales presentations that clearly articulate ideas and proposals
  • Direct follow-up and manage on-going follow up with prospects
  • Manage partnership proposal as coordinated with executive management
  • Achieve the assigned targets
  • Provide periodic market intelligence feedback, research, and reports
  • Work with supervisor to identify areas where additional staff training is required

Work Experience
  • At least 2 years extensive experience in building and managing corporate sales channels/distributors for the service industry (preferably, someone who has developed and managed sales channels, enterprise accounts, or corporate accounts in the telecommunications, service, BPO, or IT industries for at least two years)
  • Additional qualifications and experience in the tourism or hospitality industries will be given due weight
  • Expert knowledge of the marketplace in the assigned territory with an established network of contacts at executive levels in a given territory.
  • Proven decision making ability to establish priorities, credibility, and balance with the organization’s competing priorities
  • Experience in dealing with an onsite-offshore environment
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Strong ability to communicate plans for results with customers and management
  • Existing network with hotel-related industries preferred.

  • Computer and Internet literate
  • Hunter mentality focused on sourcing and qualifying prospects
  • Internet industry experience and familiarity with the metrics and business drivers for a performance based business
  • Excellent English written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills: the ability to multitask and prioritize limited time and resources to maximize the return on investment
  • Flexibility: task assignment, priorities, work environment
  • Strong modeling skills and/or experience negotiating proposals and contracts
  • Excellent research skills, including the ability to quickly synthesize large amounts of information and present them concisely in both written and verbal formats
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
